Ingredients

1 cup salted butter
1 ½ cups date sugar
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
3 tsp baking powder

Directions

Mix all the dry ingredients together (with the exception of the chocolate chips).
Add in melted butter and vanilla and stir until smooth, then fold in the egg.
Finally, mix in the chocolate chips.
Spread cookie dough into a 9- or 12- inch pan and bake at 350ºF for 15–25 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
Serve with a glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream—or both!
